John's Birthday Party

Later that day, we had John's birthday party. Mimi, Mamom, Grandma, Grandpa, and Maga all came over for the festivities. John was so excited when Maga came over with a present, he started hopping and I don't think he stopped all night!

Here is John with all his presents. I finally finished the chest this week (I had to do the polyurethane). When Grandma & Grandpa walked in with it, Maga said oh, did Frances do that? So, I'm glad my work looked of the professional artist quality! She obviously didn't look close enough to see all the mistakes! This morning when John woke up he came into the living room and said I love my presents! He has also told me several times that he loves his cedar chest!
Ruthanne helped John read his cards.
John blew out the 3 on his cupcake.
What a fun birthday!

John's Birthday

Well, John's actual birthday day was not that exciting, but the celebrations began on Friday! We met Mimi and Mamom at Build a Bear in Macon. Mimi let them each make a bear (Ruthanne got hers early for her birthday). Here they are fluffing the bears:

Then they got to pick out an outfit. Of course John found the Spiderman outfit for his puppy. Unfortunately it covers up all the puppy cuteness!
John & Spider-Puppy! At least John doesn't want the mask on all the time!

The many faces of Paul

The other day I was holding Paul while he was in a light sleep. I was pushing on his chin and it was like a magic button, he would change his facial expression. These are a few of the funny ones I caught:

Tummy time on Sunday after church.
A short evening nap.

Multi-tasking

Ruthanne is very into holding Paul at the moment. And, Paul seems to tolerate it all right. She is able to support him somewhat and make him feel comfortable (Paul does not like John to hold him though and cries every time, thus John doesn't want to hold Paul any more). Yesterday afternoon Ruthanne asked to hold Paul and then the next thing I know she had also picked up a book and was reading. She said I want to hold Paul and I want to read! She is learning the fine ability needed as a mother to multitask!

John also wanted his picture taken (not with Paul though!). So, he picked up his new shoe box (thanks Grandma!) and said take my picture!

Mimi & Poppa's Grandchildren

Mom had the great idea to try to get a picture of all her grandchildren when we were together for a couple hours on Saturday. It actually wasn't as painful as it could have been! Here are a couple!

Mostly bored kids!

The best picture from my camera.

So, has Paul changed in the past week?

Whatcha think?

The Garden

Finally going to finish this post about the garden at the Wilson's house for Cynthia!

In this picture you mainly see zucchini and yellow squash toward the front. Over on the left there are some bean plants.

You can see the watermelon plant toward the left, two small cantalope plants in the middle and herbs in the corners.
This is the row of tomatoes, there is Mr. Stripey, some roma grape, and some average tomatoes!

Here you see mostly radishes, maybe a yellow bell pepper plant just behind them and then in the very middle of the garden is the cucumber. Here is a bloom on the zucchini plant.
I need to get back over there to look at how it is progressing. Its been about a week since I have seen it.
